Kern Park

In 2021 the city commissioned a comprehensive master plan of all parks, which includes upgrades to Kern Park. Thanks to $300,000 of appropriated American Rescue Plan Funds, the long awaited Kern Park Upgrades are underway.
These upgrades include:
 -Trail Restoration & Repairs
 - Blighted Tennis Court Removal 
 - Educational Kiosks
 - Formal Entrance Establishment
 - Trail Maps & Markers
 - New Pollinator Garden
The city is scheduled to go out to bid over the summer with construction anticipated to begin in the fall of 2023.
